Ski wear for children: off to the slopes!
Winter’s on the way – time again at last to romp in the snow and wreak havoc on the slopes.
For your little winter sports fans to stay warm in snowball fights and move safely on the ski slope, they need the right ski wear. Find out what you should look out for when choosing the right children’s ski wear so the kiddies can enjoy a carefree winter.
Multifunctional children’s ski wear
Whether it’s a snowsuit, winter jacket or snow trousers for children: for skiing, tobogganing, or jumping about in the snow, multifunctional children's ski wear is the most important thing. When you are choosing snow wear, you should always look out for the following features: it should be water-repellent, windproof, breathable, have reflective elements, an insulating lining and welded seams.
Offers protection through the winter
Wearing layers has proved to be the way to brave cold temperatures. Several warm and protective layers worn on top of each other are the way to go. A winter jacket for children and snow trousers or a snowsuit form the outermost layer. This layer protects your child directly from the weather. When you are choosing suitable ski and outdoor clothing for children you should therefore look out for materials that are water-repellent, breathable, windproof and insulating. With C&A snow wear for children, kiddies are well-armed for the winter. Because our quality, reasonably priced, multifunctional materials meet the special demands for having fun in the snow without a care in the world.
Information & tips
Windproof and weatherproof materials
For your children to be able to romp happily in the snow, outdoor clothing with multifunctional materials is an absolute must. This applies just as much to the ski slope as to a winter's walk at the weekend or going ice skating. To guarantee the functionality of our clothing, we use an exceptionally firm outer material that is particularly hard-wearing and has a waterproof rating of 3,000 mm, way above the standard of 1,300 mm (ISO 811). The waterproof rating tells you how much water the material can withstand without moisture penetrating. The higher the waterproof rating, the more waterproof the material. For added protection against moisture penetration, all the seams, or at least the main seams, of our ski wear for children are welded. Breathable materials also ensure an exceptionally comfortable body climate (3,000 g/m²/24h), through which body moisture can escape easily.

Safe & warm through the winter
To guarantee optimal protection against the cold, you should also look out for ski and outdoor clothing that keeps your children warm. For this reason, our winter jackets, snowsuits and ski jackets for children have insulating linings and are windproof. So you can be certain that body heat is retained all day long when children are romping in the snow and on the slope. Our ski wear is also fitted with reflective zips, prints and piping for a high level of safety in the dark season. Your children will be unmissable in these.

Practical details: optimal protection for romping in the snow
The cold and snow can stay outside! Along with functional materials, the choice of the right children’s ski wear depends mainly on the details. Elasticated cuffs on the sleeves and legs, waterproof, sealed zips on the pockets and a snow skirt and gaiters ensure that kiddies are well protected from the penetration of cold and snow. A winter’s walk through powdery snow or ice skating with friends become a pure pleasure.
Clever features of our children’s ski fashion
Winter can be fun! So that snow, cold and wetness remain outside, all our ski jackets and trousers for children are fitted with elasticated cuffs, a snow skirt or gaiters.
Information & tips
The snow skirt/gaiters on ski jackets and ski trousers
Practical and clever: the snow skirt/gaiters on ski jackets and trousers. Perfectly invisible from the outside but an important detail when it comes to the right ski wear for children. Not only on the slope but also when tobogganing, this prevents snow getting through to the clothing layer underneath. For hours romping in the snow, our children’s ski jackets have a rubberised snow skirt on the hem and our childrens’ ski trousers come with gaiters.

Information & tips
Ski and winter jackets with cuffs
Practical and protective: So no snow can get to the skin, there are 2 variations of elastic sleeve cuffs on our winter and ski jackets for children. Elasticated, close-fitting cuffs that are perfect for snowball fights in the playground or with thumb hole cuffs that can be adjusted with riptape that are perfect for fun on the slope.

Our ski wear for children: wrapped up warmly from top to toe
Children’s ski wear – functional and cool: Whether brightly coloured, with striking patterns or plain, our ski wear for girls and boys has something for every taste and purpose. For little winter sports fans to stay warm in all their outdoor activities, supplementary winter accessories and functional ski base layers are just as important as a good winter jacket or snowsuit.
Hat, scarf and gloves: Accessories for cold winter days
To be able to enjoy the winter without a care, hats and gloves must be functional more than anything. All of our hats have an insulating lining and are colour-coordinated with our children’s ski wear. Our gloves for children have warm padding and are made of exceptionally waterproof and breathable outer material. A waterproof rating of 3,000 mm guarantees that your children’s hands will remain dry even in snow. Breathable materials (3,000 g/m²/24h) also ensure that body moisture can escape.
Don’t forget: To give your child extra protection from cold and wind, a warm scarf is a must!
Information & tips
Tips to avoid getting cold
Cold protection lies in the detail: All our gloves for children are fitted with elasticated or close-fitting LYCRA® cuffs. This prevents snow or water getting inside and chilling the body.
Did you know? Mittens keep your children’s fingers warmer than normal full-finger knitted gloves. This is because of the air between the fingers when you wear mittens. So they are the perfect accessory for a snowball fight or winter walk. By contrast, functional full-finger gloves are recommended for children on the slope. Thanks to the insulating Thinsulate padding, all our ski gloves keep the hands nice and warm and allow moisture to escape.
