What makes our C&A Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM products superior to ordinary clothes?
Our C2C Certified products are designed as nature intended, with products considered as biological nutrients - designed to be reused or recycled into new products. Our solid Gold Level Certified T-Shirts can be even safely composted**.
This Cradle to Cradle approach to product design means that organic cotton farmers can grow their crops without hazardous fertilizers and pesticides, and those involved in the production processes are not exposed to harmful chemicals because none are used. In addition, by using renewable energy, offsetting carbon emissions and cleaning the water used in the production process, C2C Certified products support both the health of the ecosystems and communities in which they are manufactured and the overall health of our planet.

How can you give your T-Shirt its next life?
If you don’t want to wear your C2C Certified clothes anymore, make sure you give them another life. This can be done in several ways:
Via our C&A “We take it back” programme
Bring it to your favourite C&A store and receive a 15% voucher for your next purchase. Find out more about our “We take it back” initiative here.
You can donate your old clothing so it can be reused again or provide humanitarian relief. There are many organizations throughout Europe that collect used clothing and shoes to support people in need.
If the clothing you wish to donate is no longer wearable; the donation organization often work with textile recycling companies to create other important uses for the fibres.
Via Fashion for Good
C&A has partnered with Fashion for Good to develop the first global launch of Gold level C2C Certified apparel.
Created with an initial grant by founding partner C&A Foundation, Fashion for Good unites apparel producers, retailers, suppliers, non-profit organizations, innovators and funders in the shared ambition of only good and sustainable fashion (learn more on: www.fashionforgood.com). By sending your old C2C Certified clothes to Fashion for Good, you are actively supporting in the research and development of new chemical recycling techniques.
Send your old C2C Certified apparel via post to: Fashion for Good Centre, Rokin 102, 1012 KZ Amsterdam.
By composting*** at home
An added benefit of our Gold level C2C Certified solid t-shirt is that you can also put it into your compost heap at home. So if you can’t choose the options above, you can still safely return the t-shirt to the soil at the end of its life cycle.
