C&A sustainability efforts recognised by leading environmental NGO
Düsseldorf, October 31, 2019. C&A has been recognized for its leadership in environmental supply chain management by China’s most influential environmental NGO, the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE). In this year’s Corporate Information Transparency Index (CITI), C&A ranks third out of 80 apparel and textile brands and fourth overall of 438 companies across all industries.
C&A reduces carbon and water footprints significantly by sourcing more sustainable raw materials
Dusseldorf, Germany, June 19th, 2019 – In 2018, C&A’s global sustainable materials strategy — driven by more sustainable sources of cotton and cellulosic fibres — avoided 116,000 tons of CO2 emissions (mtCO2e), equivalent to the yearly CO2 emissions of over 70,000 passenger cars. C&A also saved 1 billion m3 of water – the equivalent of 400,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools . This and other progress is detailed in C&A’s annual Global Sustainability Report, published today.
C&A Ranked 4th out of 200 in Fashion Transparency Index
Dusseldorf, April 24th, 2019 – ‘Fashion Revolution’ has published its ‘2019 Fashion Transparency Index’, ranking C&A as No. 4 amongst the world’s 200 biggest global fashion brands and retailers. Fashion Revolution is a not-for-profit global movement that campaigns for systemic reform of the fashion industry with a focus on the need for greater transparency in the fashion supply chain.
MUSTANG expands presence at C&A from 60 to 740 sales areas
14 March 2019, Künzelsau/Düsseldorf - MUSTANG and C&A are expanding their partnership.
A test phase started in October last year with the denim specialist’s bestseller Basic products
on around 60 premium zones of the fashion retailer's premises has been concluded with great
success and ahead of schedule. By the end of the year, a further 340 C&A stores with 680
MUSTANG areas - both for ladies’ and men's ranges - are to be opened.
