Dusseldorf, 21 March 2020 – Fashion retailer C&A is offering free home delivery in its European markets for all items purchased via its online shop at www.c-a.com. The measure aims to support C&A customers who are forced to stay home due to the COVID-19 pandemic to shop online.
Dusseldorf, 14 February 2020 – C&A is phasing out the sale of single-use plastic bags in all of its more than 1,400 stores across 18 countries in Europe. As of March 2020, the fashion retailer will introduce the durable ‘bag-for-life’, made of 80% recycled PET which will withstand many shopping trips. When worn out, it can be returned to any C&A store and exchanged for a new one free of charge.

Beluga Denim is currently the only fabric certified at this level worldwide by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. The fabric will be introduced at the world’s leading Cradle to Cradle event today, the C2C Congress 2020 in Berlin.

Fashion retailer C&A announced that it received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for absolute reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 30% across all scopes. C&A’s science-based target (SBT) approval marks yet another milestone in the company’s sustainability journey to reduce CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions by sourcing more sustainable materials and a responsible management of its supply chain environmental performance.
