Coronavirus COVID-19 situation

Information about the current Coronavirus COVID-19 situation

Are the shops open?

In view of the current situation, C&A has taken the painful but responsible decision to close all its stores. They will be reopened as soon as possible. We're still open for you online 24/7.

Is there a risk that the items are contaminated?

No. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) there is no risk that our items are contaminated. The WHO has stated that there is no risk to those who receive packages delivered by courier.

How does C&A ensure the safety of customers and employees?

We make sure that ordering online is safe. Packages are still being delivered as usual and all courier services have confirmed that, in order to avoid contact, recipients will not be required to sign any deliveries. We have also implemented additional health and hygiene measures in our warehouse and distribution centres to ensure our employees' safety. The World Health Organization has also confirmed that there is no reason to be concerned for those receiving packages delivered by courier.

Are deliveries guaranteed in the upcoming weeks?

At the moment we are able to deliver your order, excluding to the areas where access to our courier is not allowed. Those are the following:

- Portugal: zip codes 3880-XXX until 3885-XXX.
- Czech Republic: Litovel (zip codes 783 21 and 783 31), Cervenka (zip code 784 01), Unicov (zip codes 786 81, 783 91 and 783 93).

If you have already placed an order and the delivery address in any of those areas, your package will be sent back to our logistics center and we will refund you the charge as soon as possible. Any updates will be promptly communicated to you.

Can I expect the same delivery times as before the Corona virus?

We are currently unable to ship your order as quickly as usual. The reason is, on the one hand, the increased demand at the moment and, on the other, the adjustment of our internal capacities to protect employees. To ensure their safety, we carry out additional health and hygiene measures in our logistics center. Unfortunately, this means that we currently need longer to process your order than you are used to. We therefore ask for your understanding and assure you that we will do everything to ensure that you receive your order as soon as possible.

How can I return my items in the coming weeks?

Considering the current situation and meeting the authorities' recommendations to minimise the need to go outside, the return period has been temporarily extended to 60 days for all orders from 01.03.2020.

How can I exchange or return the articles that I bought in the store? Is it possible to return them by post?

You will be able to exchange the articles bought in a C&A store promptly after reopening. Please keep your receipt for this and show it at the checkout. Unfortunately, due to technical and organisational reasons, it is not possible to return store-bought articles to the online shop.

Can I expect that returned items will be refunded in the same time period as before the Corona virus?

We ask for your understanding that the shipment times for returns currently take longer than usual. But please be assured that we will process your return as soon as it arrives in our central warehouse and refund you the respective amount. In the meantime, we kindly ask for a little patience in this exceptional situation.

What about my parcel that I have returned to a C&A store that has been temporarily closed? When will I get my money back for this return?

Due to the temporary closure of the store, in a few cases it is possible that we are unable to forward your parcel to our central warehouse. As soon as the store re-opens, we will process your return immediately and refund you the amount. In the meantime, we kindly ask for a little patience in this exceptional situation.

In these uncertain times, all of us are thinking about our families and friends. We’re also concerned about the C&A community - our employees, their families and of course you, our customers. As we face this challenge, it’s important to do all we can to act responsibly together and keep everyone safe.

This is why we have temporarily closed our stores in many of our sales countries. We will continue to follow government recommendations and make any further adjustments as needed. We do not know what will happen, but we will continuously work hard to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for you - therefore our C&A online shop and social media channels remain up and running for you 24/7.

We are all in this together.
Be safe, stay healthy and look after your families!
