Statement on PFAS

Düsseldorf, 22nd January 2026 - C&A takes product safety and chemical compliance very seriously. Together with our external laboratory partners, we looked into the Greenpeace Austria report and again into our own results for further evaluation.

All products referenced were originally tested by external internationally accredited testing laboratories and the tests reports confirm that the products are fully compliant with all applicable legal requirements.

The findings referenced are based on a new PFAS testing methodology, which has been introduced in connection with upcoming regulatory developments in France and the EU.

C&A already adapted its processes in line with evolving regulatory standards and testing methods and our test reports show compliance. The PFAS substances detected are not considered a product safety risk for our consumers.

C&A maintains robust chemical management and testing processes and works closely with its suppliers and external experts to ensure full compliance with all relevant EU regulations. We continuously review and enhance our testing approaches in line with scientific progress and regulatory developments.
