C&A Europe acknowledges that its former decision to remove the separate XL collections from stores did not address customer needs
XL collections to be reintroduced to stores in a two-phase approach
Düsseldorf, 28th June 2023 – After listening to customer feedback, C&A Europe has decided to reverse its decision to remove the separate XL collections, and to reintroduce them to the stores in which they were previously sold.
Until the start of 2022, C&A offered separate women’s and men’s XL collections in around 800 and 400 stores, respectively, as well as in its online shop. In order to offer a broader variety of styles to its customers, C&A decided to gradually discontinue the separate XL collections in stores, solely retaining them in its online shop, and to instead offer a wider range of sizes in its regular collections.
Although taken with the best intentions, C&A has listened to customer feedback about the decision to discontinue the separate XL collections in the stores and acknowledges that this did not address customer needs. Action is now being taken to immediately reintroduce the separate XL collections to the stores in which they were previously sold.
The decision to discontinue the XL collections has been reversed, and the collections will be reintroduced as a separate area in C&A stores in a two-phase approach, which will allow the company to promptly address customer demand. The first phase starts from October 2023, with the gradual delivery of products available in the online shop to the stores. The second phase will take place from spring/summer 2024 and offer the entire XL collections both in stores and online. The aim is to once again provide a comprehensive range of sizes that caters to all customers’ needs.
Diversity and size inclusivity have always been part of C&A’s DNA and naturally continue to be of great importance. C&A is fully committed to open, transparent communications with its customers, and works diligently to address their concerns and meet their expectations.
