This is your chance to join the C&A Technology team as a SAP Finance Team Lead within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE)!
We are seeking a SAP CoE Finance Team Lead to join our SAP CoE who understands the Finance and retail market and processes and will work in a challenging, purposeful and dynamic SAP CoE with teams use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g., OTC, PTP, Treasury, Controlling, SAP reporting, etc.), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba, etc.) to lead and deliver exciting transformation program, with a focus on SAP innovations and best practices.
This senior leader will combine deep technical expertise about SAP Finance and Controlling architecture, with proven engineering leadership to drive best-in-class SAP Finance and Controlling capabilities (e.g., cost centers org, CO-PA, invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable, FI-CO master data, Treasury and bank statements processes, reporting, assets management, planning and forecast, Fiori, etc).
You will be responsible for the full solution lifecycle—from architecture and data modeling to delivery and support—while managing and developing high-performing, cross-functional SAP teams. A customer-centric mindset, strong collaboration with product and SAP CoE teams, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation are critical to success in this role.
Your responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor one or more cross-functional SAP Finance and Controlling consultants or teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
- Manage the end-to-end implementation and support of the enterprise SAP CoE, ensuring robust integration with other systems.
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable finance models, business rules, and data quality standards in collaboration with architects, business teams, and governance teams.
- Champion SAP best practices across the team, including Clean Core, testing, observability, and documentation.
- Partner with Product Managers and the different SAP teams to align execution with business goals and roadmap priorities.
- Manage SAP delivery, including timelines, team briefings, team supervision, delivery of your functional area, and reviews including Directors and C level.
- Define and track KPIs for team performance and SAP platform health, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
- Maintain awareness of emerging SAP functionalities and trends and evaluate their applicability within the SAP CoE and specifically on SAP Finance and Controlling ecosystem.
- Present insights, risks, and progress updates to executive leadership as needed.
- Actively contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development of SAP CoE talent.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, MBA, or a related technical/business field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP in SAP Finance and Controlling roles.
- Proven track record in delivering and managing SAP Finance and Controlling solutions in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, Ariba, etc.). Certification is a plus.
- SAP S/4 HANA experience. Knowledge about SAP Private/Public cloud solutions is a plus.
- SAP Retail and/or Fashion solution experience.
- Strong technical and functional understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling processes in Retail environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence.
- English working environment, German is a plus.
