The E-Commerce Merchandise Manager role involves defining the Online assortment by analyzing seasonal performance, market trends, coordinating digital content, optimizing product visibility, and collaborating with the onsite and marketing teams to create compelling digital experiences for customers. You will ensure that the right products are always available at the right time, in the right quantities, and at competitive prices.
Your responsibilities
- Align the collection strategy to tailor it to the digital business. Review actual performance, analyze market trends, consumer preferences and competitor offerings.
- Ensure the assortment aligns with the C&A brand image and changing consumer demand. Starting point of the assortment strategy is the seasonal budget planning together with your line manager.
- Oversee stock levels to prevent overstocking or understocking. Ensure the stock mix reflects the seasonal demand of our customers.
- Take action where and when needed to react on deviations from targets either managing potential turnover and markdown risk or maximizing business opportunities.
- Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies within the corporate framework. Define what is right for the digital consumer and balance profitability with customer expectations and market trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to define promotions that support the product strategy and/or to solve potential merchandise risks.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify risks, trends and opportunities. Provide recommendations for adjustments in assortments, pricing, or promotions based on sales performance.
- Collaborate with the analytics team to best use skills and tools we have in house combine with our own reporting tools. Avoid reporting complexity to focus on analysis and, conclusions and recommendations.
- Closely collaborate with the Onsite team to guarantee that defined product strategy is pulled through till product appear onsite (e.g. category pushes; consumer moments;). Make sure that on time onsite availability of new arriving products is followed up.
- Work closely with stakeholder (e.g. Onsite Team/Onsite marketing) in our digital team to ensure we have a common understanding of our assortment strategy and therefore maximize sales.
- Engage with our colleagues in the range organization to create good understanding of our online needs. Exchange best case practices and analysis with them to provide best possible understanding of the dynamics of the digital business.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree , Experience in Fashion Merchandising, E-commerce, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of digital retail operations, inventory control, promotion management.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate sales data, customer trends, and market conditions. Act on insights to drive growth
- Team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
