Intern (m/f/d) - Human Rights Due Diligence

Your responsibilities at C&A
- Supporting the Social Stewardship team in the update, design and implementation of measures drawn from the annual risk analysis
- Supporting the work on public reporting requirements of the Social Stewardship team
- Data analysis and preparing short research summaries in the context of C&A’s annual risk analysis
- Depending on interest and competence, supporting design and implementation of projects related to the worker-wellbeing goal of C&A’s 2028 Sustainability Strategy (alternatively: supporting the work of the working group on adequate wages with data gathering, data analysis and short research summaries and design of projects)
- Depending on timing and circumstances of the internship, tasks can support the conceptualization and writing of a Master Thesis, subject to approval by C&A

What we expect of you
- Keen interest in human rights and / or environmental protection
- Background in social sciences (sociology, political science), law, or sustainability studies or textile engineering
- Proven analytic skills, e.g., essays or concept papers, written in the context of studies or other work
- Familiarity with discussions on sustainability in global supply chains and / or business and human rights (e.g., UN Guiding Principles, German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act) is an asset
- Familiarity with socio-economic and political contexts in production countries of the textile and apparel industry is an asset
- Strong command of excel and diligent handling and analysis of data
- Ability to work independently, Structured approach to tasks and the ability to run and summarize quick analytic research on defined topic
- Strong command of English
