This is your chance to join the C&A team as a Garment Technician (m/f/d) in our Düsseldorf office!

As a Garment Technician for the Adults Category, you will be responsible for all fit-related issues, including fit on dummy, live model, and 3D, as well as measurements and workmanship during the development of all products manufactured within the assigned regions to ensure product excellence. You will manage suppliers to ensure products are developed correctly the first time, with the right technical design, fit, and production outcome to inspire our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage sample approvals for technical compliance with the C&A Supplier Quality Manual guidelines and ensure product speciality
  • Ensure that global quality standards meet customer expectations for fashion, fit, quality, and safety and are adhered to by local suppliers
  • Oversee supplier product development processes, supporting "right first time" sample creation and maintaining fit continuity through an understanding of tech packs, patterns, and grading
  • Support the development of supplier technical capabilities to meet customer requirements and solve fit issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Engineer products to improve supplier efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards
  • Provide support to EU Product Development teams on tech pack creation, risk assessment, safety, and alignment with design expectation

What you bring

  • Professional qualifications in Design, Industrial Engineering, or another related subject
  • Good experience and knowledge in design, product development, and manufacturing processes
  • At least three years of working experience in a related field
  • Technical knowledge of pattern making, grading, and workmanship, along with a sound understanding of Industrial Engineering and Lean Manufacturing practices
  • Strong knowledge of textiles, current finishing methods, and engineering techniques
  • Good commercial awareness of industry-standard quality levels and customer expectations
  • Knowledge of 3D development systems
  • Good command of English, particularly in manufacturing and engineering terminology
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Illustrator
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management) is desirable
