PINEAPPLE TABLE DECORATION

PINEAPPLE TABLE DECORATION

STEP 1

Get your pineapple; ready, steady, go! What you need to create a summery table decoration: A pineapple, a paintbrush and your favorite paint. There are no limits to your color choices. A decent dose of creativity shouldn’t be missing here, though.

STEP 2

Before you get stuck in with your paintbrush and this DIY project, we recommend washing the pineapple before starting (especially the leaves). This avoids the chances of any dirt mixing with the paint and the desired result not being achieved.

STEP 3

Now things are getting colorful! Dip your brush into the paint and get to work. Paint the pineapple! A single color, multi-color, stripes, polka-dots... you choose! A little tip: The paint applies best if you start from the base of the leaves to the tips.

STEP 4

Now you need to be patient. While the paint dries on the pineapple, there’s just enough time to wash your brush and clean up

STEP 5

Pineapple dry? All that remains is to find a place for the new decoration. A little tip: A colorful pineapple works best as a table decoration if the cups and plates are color coordinated, too. Then nothing can stand in the way of a stylish summer party.

A little tip

It's best to use acrylic paint for this, as it has stronger coverage and sticks better to uneven surfaces.

DIY: THE PALLET GARDEN

DIY: THE PALLET GARDEN

STEP 1

First of all, source a pallet. Depending on the pallet size, now you can really go for it on the plant front! Don’t forget plant pots! To secure them, you need cable ties, hose clamps and metal hooks. Got it all wrapped up? Then let’s start.

STEP 2

Let’s go! Attach the hooks to the cable binders on the hose clamps. Then put the hose clamp around the flower pot and tighten it. Repeat this for all the pots.

STEP 3

Now secure the pots to the wood using the hooks and close them that they can’t fall down.

STEP 4

Now you can design the wall to your taste! We think the more green, the more beautiful your staycation! To add a certain something, embellish your DIY pallet garden with a chain of lights to make for cozy summer evenings.

A little tip

Think about the goal, before getting started! You want to leave enough time to relax after a hard day’s work. Think how relaxing it would be to sit on comfy cushions and blankets in a cozy spot, surrounded by a paradise of your own creation.

DIY TREND: INFUSED WATER

DIY TREND: INFUSED WATER

STEP 1

To lend your tap water a summery flavor, you need a glass/ jug, a cutting board, and a kitchen knife.

STEP 2

Get all the ingredients together that you need to enhance your water. This time we opted for cucumber, lime, and mint.

STEP 3

After you have thoroughly washed your ingredients, chop the cucumber and lime into thin slices. This means the water can absorb the taste better. Pull off as many mint leaves as you want.

STEP 4

Once the ingredients are ready, you can put them into your glass/pitcher and fill it up with ice and water. For the ultimate taste experience, leave your infused water to steep for a little while. We know it’s hard to resist, but we promise, it’s worth it.

A little tip

Of course, you can enhance your water with whatever you’ve got to hand. It doesn’t matter if it’s fruit, vegetables or herbs – the most important thing is that it tastes good!
