Use of Facebook and Twitter social plug-ins

Social plug-ins from the social networks Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) and Twitter (Twitter, Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) are integrated in our online shop. Social plug-ins can be recognised by the logos that are visible on the websites of Twitter.com (http://twitter.com/about/resources/logos) and Facebook.com (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins).

If you access a website from our Internet service that contains these social plug-ins, a direct link with the Facebook and Twitter servers will be established. From there, the image of the plug-in that is visible to you and the functions behind it will be transferred straight to your browser, which will incorporate them into the display on our website. If you are logged onto Facebook or Twitter at this point with your user name and password, the information that you are visiting our site will be sent there and can be allocated to your user account. If you interact with the social plug-ins, i.e. if you use the Facebook “Like” function or the Twitter “Tweet this” function, the content from our pages will be linked to your Facebook or Twitter profile. If you are not a member of Twitter or Facebook or have logged off from these service providers before visiting our shop, there is still a possibility that at least your IP address will be transferred and saved there.

We expressly point out that the content and scope of the data that is lifted directly from Facebook and Twitter by the social plug-in and sent there, as well as the period and purpose for which it is stored, is solely determined by these service providers. For further information, please see the service providers’ notes on data protection (http://twitter.com/privacy and http://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php).
